  At present, China Telecom has two lines to access the global Internet, namely 163 backbone network (that is, CN1) lines and the newly -built CN2 lines. When they go out to sea, these two lines are independent of each other. The simple difference from the CN2 line is as follows:

  163 Backbone Network is connected to AS4134 bandwidth, CN2 lines are connected to AS4809 bandwidth;

  163 backbone network is a route starting with the 202.97 IP address, and the CN2 line is a route starting with 59.43 IP address;

  163 The overseas export bandwidth capacity of the backbone network is large, the price is cheap, while the overall bandwidth capacity of the CN2 line is small and the cost is high.

  After making it clear about the differences between the 163 backbone network and the CN2 line, we will officially talk about the differences between the CN2 GT and CN2 GIA lines.

  1. Concept difference

  The CN2 GT line is the Global Transit product in China Telecom's CN2 product line. It is characterized by a separate line internationally exported, but the 163 export line is used in the country.

  CN2 GIA is also a more popular product of China Telecom. The main difference between CN2 GT products is that the CN2 GIA has an independent return line. The current users are limited, so there are basically no major problems in fast access.

  Second, line direction difference

  Before the CN2 GT line, it was generally 202.97 (163 backbone network) before going abroad. After going abroad, 59.43 will be taken. The CN2 GIA line has taken 59.43 since the domestic provincial network. It is still 59.43 to go abroad.

  The CN2 GT routing test passes 202.97 and the CN2 GIA routing test does not go through 202.97. In the same way, because the CN2 GT does not have a special independent route, it is 59.43 before returning to China, 202.97 after returning to China, and the CN2 GIA line return journey is 59.43.

  Third, analysis of advantages and disadvantages

  The domestic line of the CN2 GT line uses the 163 backbone network, which not only ensures sufficient bandwidth resources, but also saves some costs. However, there are many American computer rooms that are currently connected to the telecommunications CN2 GT. Therefore, during the peak of the network, Telecom 163 backbone network will be very congested, which will inevitably have a certain impact on the access speed of the CN2 GT line.

  CN2 GIA has an independent return line, and the load is light, so it should be the best quality in the telecommunications network. However, there are also disadvantages. One is that the rental price is more expensive, probably 2 to 3 times of the CN2 GT line; the second is that the export bandwidth resources of the CN2 GIA are relatively small. When suffering a large traffic attack, the entire CN2 GIA network fluctuations may be caused.

  In general, for renting the American VPS and independent servers, the differences between the CN2 GT and the CN2 GIA line are mainly understood. At present, many Hong Kong host vendors have products that provide different lines of CN2, CN2 GT and CN2 GIA. As users, it is necessary to understand the differences between each line.
